Softball pitching looks really complex. And honestly, the ball is really anything but soft so it never made much sense to me. I stuck with baseball. Its alot safer and everything is much easier to pick up on naturally. Pitching like that cannot be good for your arm either.

Rich Harden was one of my favorite pitchers of the “sad A’s” of the mid/late 2000’s. Not only did they have three awesome black/yellow/green jerseys they also had awesome pitchers like Justin Doucherer, Harden and Dan Haren. Who incidentally absolutely crushed me when he ended up on the Angels. I couldn’t boo him no matter what because he was just so good and by no means showed that he was a bad dude. It’s a different story with later similar looking dude Riddick who decided to be one of “those” former A’s that talks mad shit on the team. If they go to Las Vegas for real they better have a guaranteed yearly salary they’ll spend to stop this non-sense of not allowing you to like a player because no one stays longer than 3 years anymore…if that. I don’t know, something’s changed. It might be time for Beane to finally leave sadly and definitely Lewis Wolf needs to sell the team to someone who will actually care. It sucks when of the 3 AL “moneyball” teams the ones that invented it are now the worst at it. Even the Royals aren’t consistently as bad as the A’s have been for as long as I can remember at this point…and we all know the Rays overperform more than not. Man did I love that team that just had spirit and cool dudes on the team (minus Saltamachia and Lester they did awful with us). It’s sad being an A’s fan right now and Sean Murphy was the final straw. Like I said something is different where the team is just not anything like it used to be.

Nice swing. The only correction I offer is to NOT drop the bat head on the bunt. He is fortunate to drop down a good bunt. Dropping the BH significantly decreases the chance of a successful bunt.

Perfect timing for this video . My daughter 12u - location is good , overall mechanics are good but she slower then the all start completion (reg level) . My daughter is smaller then the most at her age - she get that chant of pewee power at bat- anyhow I will use this video as a guide . Thanks ! Mitt used by more than ONE catcher will get floopy way faster! My son used his big bro HOH color sync 2.0 his freshman year and it had be broken in to "his hand" although oldest son used it for what jt year he did have (cov) and his senior! Now this year the JV didn have mitt so another kid had use my sons HOH and he also pitches so the backup had to use it for bullpens...thats 4 hands in mitt if add the year his older brother used it! At start if lastyear he eveb had use his old R9 (good mid glove for midschool) first half freshman year cause the HOH was having doinkage! He only used it when catching the kids over 80 (yes he caught 50% time at V as freshman) He caught few minor leagues players bullpen this past offseason and got it "right"for HIM! THEN SCHOOL started and 2 others started using it catching him and another throwing over 80...long story longer it went from not "right" to floppy after the 3 hands breaking it in the THREE DIFF PLACES AND WAYS! I now have him the 34 inch ProElite and after one machine receiving session its "playable"! The 33.5 seemed and felt lile the 32 R9 so thats why went to the 34 (100% stiched on webb) and son luvs it! He said its more the "angle" ya hand goes into it than it is the size! He said the HOH 34 he has to force his hand to point of thumb down to get mitt flat to frame...the all-star 3000 he dont have go two in pink to get that angle he likes with parallel to ground thumb! We also dont so high elbow "back hand" jab and jerk style that has been taught lately yet see GOING BACK to "picking cheeries" amd soft hands after passed balls was up over 20% for collage and minor past 2 years! YA STICK it on corners and get around the "ball out" so ball takes ya back INTO ZONE and not look crazy tryn snatch a pitch 6 inches OUT the zone on batter box line! Putting mitt on ground may get 2 ir 3 lowball calls a game yet dont get tjose curves if dont match the angle! ANYWAY...YES after HOH experience we went ProElite after almost got Pro Perferred in a 33!
